so many of my closest friends have decided to embark on life-changing journeys recently, and i'd like to salute them with a measly post on our hilariously low-budge, grammatically outrageous blog. we'll begin with jessica, the other and more hilarious and musically savvy member of this here tribe, who has just arrived in buenos aires with our other friend, the infamous dietz.
here's jessica walking across LAX with her new boyfriend (do you love the strawberry blond locks?):
she'll be spending a month traveling south america, staying at hostels like this:
and eating gelato at places like this, where she'll learn to speak with an argentinian accent:
next on the list is my beloved younger sister, who has decided to spend the rest of her life studying the universe. she's off to london, where she will undoubtedly win over all the nerdy boys in her class, and likely speak too quickly for people to understand her peculiar accent. any recommendations of places to go in LONDRES??
here's a photo of lily allen, who is british and who i love because she is topless nearly constantly with no regard to the fact that she is somewhat famous and will be photographed
nextly i'd like to salute the woman responsible for all the braids i've ever worn in my hair post- 3rd grade, and who did the unthinkable when she forgave me after i ate nearly all of her cheezits which had been flown in from overseas. jaclyn will be traveling to korea in the beginning of the new year, where she will teach english to babies and wow the far east with her sexy white tights. she is also one of three regular readers (after me and jessica).
here's a googled pic of seoul:
while everyone is away, i will be posting erratic and stolen photos and contemplating the next phase of my life. any suggestions of things to do/ places to visit/ people to see in el lay while i embark on this inward journey?
i will also be admiring this woman from afar, the beautiful and gregarious e. jean, advice columnist from elle magazine and my personal hero
and fingers crossed, this delightful gem will make sense in a few posts
so sayonara for a bit. things to consider:
what is the best gelato flavor?
what is the most hilarious thing to say with a british accent?
hasn't everyone known about lincoln park after dark nailpolish for a while now?
and... dressing in south america: is it ever ok to wear purple and red AND a fanny pack?
stay tuned kaitlin, jaclyn, jessica and sarah... it's going to be a month of celina in front of her laptop, bringing you the news you need to know about

fall has fell
looking out the window into a bleary, overcast, 62-degree "freezing" day here in LA, it does in fact seem that fall is upon us. the season of scarves and cigarettes and pumpkin spice candles and back to school shopping!
let's take a cue from the ever adorable audrey hepburn. here she rocks the menswear look even in the summer, complete with adorable pose and candid expression.
of all the trends i drooled over in the fat september issues of vogue and elle and martha stewart living (wait what?), my favorite had to be the resurgence of menswear. heavy overcoats (applicable for los angeles NEVER), pleated trousers, high heeled boots-- what's not to love. here are some of my favorites for fall...
hermes
loewe
just cavalli, featuring the aforementioned shearling jacket
rockstar version by balmain
so while i was journeying across the overgrown forests of upstate new york and western massachusetts, i came across a pair of victorian-esque high heeled boots for a mere $20. obviously i bought them, but the questions remains: what do i wear them with?? so if any of our 4 readers have any suggestions, i'd be very interested. they look a little like this:
speaking of boots, how is it that nicole richie is the one who is behind some of the more amazing everyday boots i've seen?? look at these bad boys
ok and our necessary dose of marykate. i feel like it's just necessary.
big ups to jessica for singlehandedly keeping this blog together. expect photos of a waterfall hike and lots more posting from the more belligerent of this duo.
